JLO had their very first homecoming and spirit week this year. All week we had different things scheduled. Monday was Mixed Match Monday. Tuesday was Career Day, you get to dress up as what you want to be when you grow up. Wednesday was College Day, you were able to wear your favorite college shirt. Thursday was Throwback Thursday, you were able to dress up as your former self or a character from the past. Last but not least Friday’s dress down was class colors, 6th grade wore green, 7th grade wore blue, and 8th grade wore red. Ory’s spirit was a success. In the middle of spirit week was the football homecoming game for JLO and they took home a win with the score of 38-0. They played against ESJE. Our homecoming court was Joshua Tamplain, Travis Rogers, Tyreke McKnight, Andre Murphy, Janai Bernard, Mya Champagne, Amari Gayden, and Kayla Jackson. The homecoming king was Joshua Tamplain and the queen was Janai Bernard. Our homecoming dance was Friday, October 21st. The dance was held at LES.

I think that we should have another spirit week soon, before the Easter break so we can have something fun to do with our friends at school before we leave for break.
